Food For Thought

Our Approach

Good in the ‘Hood is pleased to partner with Hennepin Technical College (both the Eden Prairie and Brooklyn Park Campuses) and with Hamline University  in order to host the “FOOD for THOUGHT” campus food programs.

What is Food for Thought?

Working together to alleviate hunger, FOOD for THOUGHT is designed to serve the needs of hungry community members enrolled at Hennepin Technical College and at Hamline University. This unique hybrid program offers registered community members a generous selection of essential groceries, produce, and proteins, including culturally specific selections. In addition, we provide “Grab N Go” between class snacks to alleviate hunger and to help community members maintain concentration during their classes and course work. It’s a great way for Good in the ‘Hood to partner with community members to provide much-needed stability and to encourage them to continue moving forward towards a better and more stable future.

Our Objective

Our objective is to work with the community members and for the community members to provide nutritional subsidies that will help them move towards their respective career goals and objectives.
