Good in the ‘Hood is pleased to partner with Metropolitan State University and with Hamline University  in order to host the “FOOD for THOUGHT” campus food programs.

What is Food for Thought?

Working together to alleviate student hunger, FOOD for THOUGHT is designed to serve the needs of hungry students enrolled at Metropolitan State University. This unique hybrid program offers registered students a generous selection of essential groceries, produce, and proteins. In addition, we provide “Grab N Go” between class snacks to alleviate hunger and to help Working together to alleviate student hunger, FOOD for THOUGHT is designed to serve the needs of hungry students enrolled at Metropolitan State University and at Hamline University. In addition, we provide “Grab N Go” between class snacks to alleviate hunger and to help students to maintain concentration during their classes and course work.

Our Objective

Our objective is to work with the students and for the students to provide nutritional subsidies that will help them move towards their respective career goal and educational objectives. In short, we are “FEEDING THE FUTURE”.

NEW COVID SERVICE TIMES/LOCATION/PROTOCOLS

Food Distribution available: Please schedule an appointment to pick up food here:

The food bags offered through the library weight 10 – 15 pounds and contain non-perishable food items including pasta/noodles, canned fruits, and vegetables, canned soup, peanut butter, dried fruit/nuts, tomato sauce, canned meat (chicken/beef).

Monday: 9:00 am – 5:00 pm
Tuesday: 2:00 pm – 6:00 pm
Wednesday: 10:00 am – 6:00 pm
Thursday: 3:00 pm – 6:00 pm
Friday: 9:00 am – 3:30 pm
